Dr. Weisfogel currently has his hand in a philanthropy endeavor, which he has taken part in many times throughout his career. Currently, he has started a GoFundMe account related to Operation Smile. He has placed $2000 of his own funds into the account as a donation, and hopes to get the campaign started strong. Operation Smile was founded by Bill and Kathy Magee in early 1980’s. Their first mission was stationed in the Philippines where they were able to perform multiple surgeries on patients to correct their oral deformities. Operation Smile dedicates much of their work to children and young adolescents correcting their cleft palates, cleft lips and other facial deformities. They have traveled all over the world with the help of donations to perform over 200,000 surgeries over the past 40 years. They have made it their mission to always treat each patient like they are their own. The organization has been able to use medical facilities in the area of which the surgery has taken place. They have given hope to many children who may have never had the opportunity. Dr. Weisfogel is hopeful that he can help give back to the community and make a difference and read full article.
